Sr. software engineer-DSP
(contractor or FTE in Harman, depends on interview feedback)
Essential Responsibilities:
? Develop and implement Harman own sound processing algorithms that enhance the sound of Harman products.
? Take ownership of legacy sound algorithms and DSP platforms used in current products in order to provide necessary updates and ensure continued success
? Keep track of the latest sound technological innovations and developments and work closely with sound algorithm partner.
? Architect algorithms to various DSP architectures and oversee product integration working with global engineering teams.
? Closely interact with Category Product Managers and cross-divisional peers (Automotive, Pro, CTG groups) to identify new ways to enhance sound.
? Regularly documenting findings, recommendations, algorithms, software, Etc.
? Work with Acoustic team to design new sound algorithms.
? DSP Team management
Basic Qualifications:
? 5+ years’ experience developing sound algorithms and proven record
? Must be a self-starter who can take initiative and drive to successful conclusion
? Master degree in Digital Signal Processing, Math, Acoustics, or other related major
? Proficient in developing digital signal processing, audio algorism processing
? Proficient in C/C++/Assembly languages.
? Proficient in DSP audio processing software.
? Strong Matlab experience
? Experience on Wolfson DSP, Qualcomm Hexagon, ARM NEON or CS DSP is preferred
? Fluent Spoken English, Professional read and written English skill
